Mouth reed help
Something to note, a mouth reed doesn't require a lot of air flow. I get bad breathy sounds when I try to call using more air, like I'm exhaling instead of pushing from my diaphragm. -
Signs of rut, or just curious bulls?
On Friday, 9/8 on the Oregon coast we called in two different bulls with cow sounds, my buddy connected on one. For checking snow levels, the best thing I found was downloading the daily .kmz file and opening it with Google Earth. Obviously you'll need to know the roads and be able to recognize where snow drifts will stick around that impede access, but this is a good way to see how far the snow has... -

The 1 Thing You Learned- Bear Hunting
If a bear is hanging out feeding, you probably have more time than you think to get in position to take a good shot. No need to rush on a lazy bear as long as the wind is right. -

Youth bow better than Diamond Infinite Edge
Not sure if they still make it but the Bowtech Fuel is a great alternative. I killed two elk and two bucks with mine before I decommissioned it and dialed it down from 65lbs to something like 20 lbs that my 10 year old can pull back. -

I know multiple guys who have found arrows in bulls they killed from years prior. One was a whole arrow healed over in the entire length of the backstrap.
