Always have a list that sometimes has little lists! Usually break things down into hunting gear:, camping gear, personal comforts, then any trip specific things I might need depending of type and location of hunt.
Sounds like you have it covered.
In some areas (pinyon-juniper woodlands) I have had issues with packrats chewing through the big zipties I use to secure cams (and previously with bungees or straps). For the long-term sets I have gone to a couple wraps of baling wire to secure device - seems...
Biggest pet peeve are those who believe multiple-use means only their preferred use.
Any illegal use should be reported and offenders cited. But if it's legal, then live and let live. Never know when your favorite activity might be the one on the chopping block of increased restrictions...
1999 Parker Force Multiplier: backup bow and still gets about a hundred dozen arrows a year put through it. It was retired as the primary in 2019 when I purchased a 7 year old Hoyt.
Quail coop cleaned and waste moved to composter.
Onions, beets, radishes are in the ground as of last Sunday.
Started several varieties of squash/beans and couple of tomato plants in seed starter on Monday.
We have 3 raised 2'x2'x8' raised beds and a few containers to spread plants out in...
Had good service myself.
They were not able to repair an old rangefinder, but gave me a credit for the cost of that rangefinder on two different equivalent models.
That said, between the time of shipping and the time a box showed up on my door was bout 4-6 weeks and no contact in the...
The Kifaru wasn't even an option when I bought my Push quiver. I love my Push quiver - in fact I bought a second one I use just for quick 1-2 hour day hunt trips away from the truck and the other just for target and 3D shooting. With a nalgene on the other side of the belt is is very well...
Slumberjack -20* Holofill-II mummy bag purchased new from Gene Taylor's in Gunnison, CO in August, 1984 ($129 if I remember correctly). Dad was sick of me always complaining about always being cold sleeping so told me I had one shot to pick out a brand new bag of my choice from any on the rack...
Ditto. Couldn't find a Kifaru lumbar last year so ended up with a Blacks Creek Cure for a lumbar daypack as an alternative. Love it and don't regret the decision to keep the Kifaru in the truck ready to pack and hunt faster and lighter during day trips with a well equipped lumbar. Especially...
Daughter uses a Quest Storm at 43# right now, goes to 60, and wide adjustment in draw length. Has proven capable in hunting and her local JOAD team. Camofire regularly has them at a great price.
Durable bow case designed for easy securing on an ATV. In CO (and some other states I believe) any bow must be fully enclosed on an ATV.
Most soft cases offer little protection when other gear is piled on top. Hard cases have poor tiedown points and many are wider than the ATV. When mounted...
