    How close have you snuck in?

    Not super close compared to you archery guys but I snuck into under 90 yards directly in the face of this buck. I thought for sure I was busted when I saw him but when I pulled up the binos his eyes were closed haha.

    What's for breakfast?

    During the week it’s a protein shake and then coffee when I get to work. On the weekend it’s can vary a bit however (eggs, pancakes, etc.)

    Robby does an awesome job of explaining what he looks for in big buck tracks in this video. Talks about tracks from 2:10-4:25. As someone who wants to get better at identifying big buck tracks too I thought it was insightful.

    Don't buy the warranty.....

    I thought I got ripped off buying the extended warranty on a used SUV I bought from a dealer (my first experience with a car dealership). A few years later the rear coupler or something was leaking and thankfully I remembered the extended warranty I had bought. Didn’t pay a penny on a $1500...

    Montana Mule Deer - Opener vs Rut

    November brings the rut but also can bring cold windy days (not always but likely). Also like 406huntermt mentioned that gumbo is nasty. It may be snowy or frozen in the morning but melt into a muddy mess during the day. Could definitely strand you if you aren’t thinking about it. Best of luck...
