I use the state websites, ONX, and GOHUNT to crunch numbers and designate areas of interest, but it sure goes a long way in terms of confidence to hear from someone who has already spent time in an area say "yeah, thats a pretty good option" OR "I would check out XYZ first".
Searching and reading, searching and reading, rinse, repeat. My focus here is to improve my reading comprehension skills and maybe learn a little about hunting Elk in Montana along the way. Appreciate the community and all the knowledge I've been exposed to already.
