Have you guys used zwickeys? Any success stories, or stories of them failing? I’ve got 3 of the Eskimo 2 blades and 3 of the Eskimo 2 blades with bleeders that I’m going to at least use for turkey this spring. I have also been a fan of the magnus stingers in the past
Several people have said something to the effect that zwickey’s have killed more animals than whatever. My question is, do you think that animals have been lost due to being broken/ bent/ performance failure, whereas a more expensive/ better built broadhead would’ve killed done the job?
@nevadabugle Those day sixes look like the real deal. I’m inclined to get the 175 with the 3/4 bleeder. Would there be a reason to get the smaller bleeder instead?
I’m looking for a quality broadhead for elk this coming fall in the 150-175grain range and looking for the good ones, and ones to stay away from. I’m leaning towards a 2 blade with bleeders. The iron wills are pretty pricey but if they are worth it, I may go that route.
I ordered a great northern adjustable . If I don’t like it, I’ll probably go with that creek walker. I like the looks of them, just didn’t want to drop 200 bucks on a quiver just yet.
just getting my first recurve tomorrow, and looking for the best hunting quiver to put on my (old) new Martin Hatfield takedown. I’d like my arrows to stay in the quiver when broken down. Thanks!
I will most likely end up shooting iron will’s so all the heavy weights are available. I’m just trying to understand if there is a benefit of putting the weight in the insert, or not
I am very new to the trad game and looking to set up some arrows for ultimately elk hunting. It’s looking like I’m going to want roughly 175-200 grains up front. My question is, what is more practical and why? Or does it even make a difference?
175gr point and 25gr insert
150gr point and 50gr...
44 mag ranger green. Been used for 2 seasons and has a little wear, some light blood stains that may come out in the wash. Just noticed one very small hole in the back of one of the side pockets. $225 shipped
