i just order the scope body and have to settle on an eye piece
what did you end up buying? i am in a similar situation wondering if 27 power will be enough. i don't see having to judge goats a 3 kilos but inside 2 km's will 27 power do the job? i really like the price and weight combo of the s2
Any one else using these scopes that can give their input?
They seem to be ideal for what i want on my 30-06 Ai a light bright scope with 2x mag for thick brush and 10x for out in the open. my only concern is the eye relief?

They didn't have a strong recommendation either way so I figured I would go with the cheaper one on demo and could return if I wasn't happy. But I've been quite happy with them.
Anyone use a bino doubler to check targets at the range 400-500 yards?
I just picked up Maven C1 10x42 I was thinking of buying a vortex doubler just to bring alone to range so I can check targets further out.
I know you lose brightness and clarity but has anyone tried this? will it work?

Lost a rangefinder. Ranging a couple goats across a ravine about 300 yards away. Turned around and had 4 nannies and 4 kids walk up behind us within 20 yards. Put the rangefinder down somewhere and never found it.
So after calling maven I went with the c1 10x42. They arrived 6 days later and I have had a chance to play with them a bit. Clarity during daylight is very good to my eyes. I think they are a great value buy. The scope on my rifle is a Zeiss conquest and the Maven's are very comparable. Maybe...
