    I have the SHV in 4-14 x50 and the moa reticle first focal plane. Great low light and super clear. I love that scope easy to dial in .

    I use a .22wmr bolt and a 6.5 grendle AR. I know a lot of die hard coyote guys like the 22-250 in a bolt action.

    I have been using the Cabela's tripod but you can remove one leg and use it as a monopod or use the bipod lightweight and durable so far .

    Try trail cams as well. I have found that about Aug 22 they tend to move to rutting location s and are not as prevalent in their summer grounds. Pressure from hikers , dirt bikers , hunters ECT. Can impact their movements as well as finding water.

    .243 under 200 yards?

    I like the 6.5 as well but I think your fine with .243 in those ranges. Also that caliber might be more versatile for predator and deer. And like you said your kids can grow into it.
