Just bought a new T3x Lite stainless in 300 win mag, 1:10 twist.
I'm not a hand loader so I'm looking for recommendations on factory hunting loads this gun likes. If anyone has experience with it please holler. I'm prepared to try a few different ones, buy any direction would be appreciated. Thanks!
I've talked with Ram, they've been very responsive and informative. But 5,900 for a 5 day hunt seems steep. Anybody have any experience with arrowhead?
Looking at a 2024 mid-sept, alaska caribou hunt with a couple buddies. Probably fly-in, self guided. I know the caribou situation is a bit iffy at the moment, but was hoping someone could give me some good direction. Air taxis, hunt areas etc. Appreciate any insight.
Missed the general elk draw but got a unit 67/68/69 archery tag as a left over. Anybody familiar with that area? 69 is all wilderness, so it's off limits. But most of 67 and 68 are fair game. Will there be much archery pressure? Any info is appreciated. I know about the grizz, I'll have spray...
Looking for options for a short notice audad hunt this winter. Self-guided/trespass fee spot and stalk type hunt is what I'd prefer. Rifle or archery would be fine. Probably a 5-7 day hunt, the less frills the better. Any ideas welcome, thanks!
Killed my 1st bull in 751. Fishing is good, there's elk there but numbers aren't great, they seem to be always on the move too. Plan on covering lots of ground, but believe me, the hills are tall! I've found in elk there from 10k feet all the way up to 13k. Beautiful country for sure!
I absolutely love solo hunting. Nobody else's concerns to worry about, just me vs my quarry. I have no kids, and a very forgiving wife... this means lots of woods and mountain time for me!
I'm heading into that area in archery season again this year. It's getting tougher and tougher, lots of pressure and less elk compared to even 4-5yrs ago.
Since you're doing 2nd season otc, I'd call the cpw and ask for some more ideas. Theres a ton of options statewide for 2nd rifle. And since...
I'm going to assume you're talking about elk unit 60. Deer unit 60 has almost no big areas of public land. I think you could probably do unit 60 wth pack llamas, but you'd have to take your time; itd be a hell of a haul. The closest trail head that I see is Deer Creek Trail in unit 59, which is...
Me and the wife are planning a little vacation for southern Louisiana here in about a month. Planning on doing some fishing and enjoying the cajun food. I would also love to go spend a day or so hog hunting. I think it'd be a great test for my new archery elk setup. Let me know if you know of a...
Need some new super light rain gear. Anybody have any experience with the Cabelas space rain gear? I know their cheap, but I'm one of those guys that likes spending more money on tags and less on luxery...
