    Over the last few days, I’ve been loading and testing turkey ammo for 12 ga and 20 ga. I only took pictures of the 20 gauge stuff.

    I use a 300# All Season gravity feeder at my place here in TX to keep from feeding pigs, and it works fine. I feed protein at my place in Oklahoma and use a Boss Buck. I had to put a timer on it, because the deer were eating 1000# in 12 days. Here’s what it looks like with the timer.

    I picked A BUNCH a couple years ago and froze them, and I rehydrated and fried some on Thursday. They had the same texture and taste as fresh. NW Oklahoma has been bad dry the last two springs, and there haven’t been any morels. It finally rained at my place last week, but I won’t be back up...

    It‘s a Blaser BBF97 12 ga over 308 combo gun, and I shot the turkey with a handloaded 1 1/4 oz #6 load at 8 yards. Here’s a better picture of the gun.

    Killed this tom Monday evening at my place in NW Oklahoma. 6.5” beard, 7/8 and 1” spurs, and 27 lbs.
