My opinion after being there, they are likely on every mountain system within 50 miles of YP. May just be one lone bear, but likely exists. We talked to a local biologist when scouting some new ground this year, said they had 3 collared bears in one draw 8 miles West of Sawtell the week we were... -

Finally made an account last week. Enjoy a ton of info/people on this site. Hunt OH, MI, ID, MT, IA and soon to be Alaska, god willing. Love chasing big whitetails at home, getting my two boys on deer (7, 10), and chasing coyotes year round with the thermals. Try to get at least 1 elk hunt...- RP50

What did you do today to get ready for Elk season?
Glad to see I'm not the only crazy person. Working out 5 days a week, 2-4 mi run in the mornings following by a good lift. Then shooting bow and working on calling after work and dinner a few times a week when time allows. Head west in 26 days or so, coming quick! -
Alaska DIY Moose RECAP 2022
I know the feeling in an off year, really stinks. We're just starting to plan 2 different trips up to AK/NWT. Moose is first then hopefully we follow it up with a grizz hunt. Buddy only has a few years left with his eyesight, these are his 2 dreams hunts, so we're going to make it happen. -
Dead predator pics
Kill a few dogs each winter. Out of the 40 or so only a few worth keeping this winter, mange was the worst i've seen in years.- RP50

What bow is everyone shooting?
Back to my bowtech realm again this year. Tried a mathews VXR and an elite remedy in the past few years and wasn't a fan of either. Back wall on the bowtech is something else, i've not found anything close and makes it really shootable for me. Hung onto the elite as a backup and sold the vxr. -
Montana General vs Colorado 0 Point Unit (Archery)
I've got some points for CO, just have not made plans to hunt there yet. Will some year for sure! -

Slick trick wicked tricks have always worked well for me. Plenty of good options out there!
