    If you are going late August I’d say temperatures should be cool enough for meat in my experience. I’ve been up there at 75 and then snow flurries the next day. But I’d say 30-50s is probably more likely. Good chance of rain. So tarp and meat pole and let it hang. I don’t think the bugs are bad...

    Okay awesome thank you. Thought I was crazy or didn’t know how to work the internet. I have M70 30.06 it had just a basic plastic stalk. The rifle has always shot decent but I have never loved it. So, had the barrel cut and threaded, new trigger installed just need a stalk.

    Absolutely amazing accomplishment. Congratulations, I harvest my first fall ram in Alaska last year. Hope to make it number two this year.

    I try to hunt everything I can! Caribou, moose, dall sheep. I’m active duty so do the best I can with the time I have. Been stationed here 4.5 years. Been luck enough to get a caribou, moose and harvest my first sheep last year.
