    How much do you worry about black bears in the backcountry?

    I believe Curtis hit it on the money, keep the camp tidy and what we do and tell people here is " Don't keep your tooth brush / tooth paste where your sleeping " because bears can sniff that stuff out pretty quick, believe me !!!! Be aware and be safe :)

    One Caliber?

    I like to use my CZ 550 American Safari Magnum in 375 H&H. I use 350 grains Norma African PH - Dangerous Game for close to everything up here, mostly for grizzly, black bear and moose. I have used it on woodland caribou. A really nice rifle to carry around up North.
