What loads are good for cranes & geese over decoys?
Having been away from these hunts for over the last 10 years, I have not kept up with nontoxic shell development. I now have opportunities to hunt cranes and waterfowl. Coming up, we have a crane only day, and a crane/goose combo day.

I’m now shooting factory 147 gr ELD-M out of both 6.5 creedmoor & PRC. I can’t do better with my hand-loads thus far, though still trying.
I have had no problem with quickly downing game, though I don’t take marginal angle or ridiculous distance shots.
