As others said, go to a running shoe store to get fitted and have them watch you run.

Bear hides need to be degreased as part of the tanning process.
Been doing taxidermy for 20 years and I personally would not do a home tan on a bear.
Flesh it well, then salt it. It will not dry totally hard due to the grease. Fold it up and send it to a reputable tannery.
A hunt on private with the Type 2 tags would be o.k but you will pay for access,
IMO, I wouldn't bother with the Type 1 tags on public in 3, 10, or 19. I would start planning for next year.
Not that I am aware of. I recall reading somewhere a few years ago the only way to have a tag refunded in WY is if you have a medical reason you can't hunt and that would need to be verified by a doctor with some kind of documentation.
