WTS SG Sky Talus 6900 on X-Curve Frame *MINT* with almost every accessory

Stone Glacier Sky Talus 6900 on X-Curve frame with medium belt. I am asking $800tyd for the entire setup which includes the accessories listed below. The original purchase price was $926, I believe. This pack is in new condition, I bought it and a Sky 5900 and decided to stick with the 5900...

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? With pic.

Update...I'm pretty sure the scope isn't holding zero. I have now tried 3 different factory loads, 1 Hornady, 1 Federal, and 1 Browning. Same results as my hand loads...occasionally a good 2 shot group then the 3rd shot will be off by 8 or 9". A guy next to me at the range was also shooting a...

will your new kifaru be delivered before your big hunting trip?

I was worried that the Universal Gun Bearer I ordered wouldn't be here in time. I called them and asked to pay for their fastest shipping option which the CS rep said would put it in my mailbox the day before my hunt. It showed up within 3 days, and a whole week before my trip. Kifaru's CS is...

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? With pic.

You just described my load dev method, minus the chronograph. I have tried H4350 and H4831sc, each with Accubond 180's and SGK 165's, in .5gr increments seated .015 from the lands. I then took the best groups and started experimenting with seating depth moving out to .050 from the lands. I'm...

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? With pic.

I will ditch the lead sled. I only used it because shooting 40 rds during load development from a 300 wsm prone sucks in the recoil department. I didn't get to shoot tonight. The field I have permission to shoot over was being plowed, so I'll have to wait until Friday.

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? With pic.

Yeah, I normally don't worry too much about cleaning. This debacle started with accuracy issues, which led to inspection, which led to the discovery of copper streaks in the bore, which led to the cleaning. I usually use a led sled off of a bench. I'm going out this evening with some factory...

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? With pic.

I think my jags are brass, but it doesn't change the fact that I can still see streaks in the barrel. I did remove the scope and mounts last night. Everything looked fine but I went ahead and lapped the rings and re-torqued everything to spec. I bought some Federal blue box to try...

175 or so. I will be halfway through the barrel life before this is done, lol.

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? With pic.

To answer the cleaning questions: I have tried using Wipe-Out, Break Free Bore Foam, and Hoppes Elite Bore Foam. Wipe Out seems to be working the best using the method ofl0926 described. But, all of the bore cleaners I have tried result in never-ending blue patches. Another note, I've never...

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? With pic.

Is this copper fouling causing poor accuracy? UPDATED I’ve been struggling for 2 weeks to work up a load with acceptable accuracy for this rifle and it’s driving me nuts! Working up from min to max loads in .5 gr increments is producing head-scratching results with accubonds and partitions...

Eddie Bauer Sleeping Bags - Half Off Today/Any good?

I have one of their 0* synthetic bags. I haven't used it on any really cold nights, but construction is really good. It is Climashield Apex insulation. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is a little slim...and I'm 6'0" and 175lbs...so not a wide guy at all. Anyone much heavier...

Mystery Ranch Marshall vs Stone Glacier Sky 5900

I've had both. Sold the MR because the SG was much more comfortable and 1/2 the weight.

Is the .300 Win Mag dead?

I went with a 300WSM because I don't ever plan on shooting bullets over 180gr, but the 300 Winny is a fantastic caliber if judged by effectiveness on large critters at all ranges. Easy to buy factory ammo for, too. It will be around longer than we will.

    Water bladder recommendation

Platypus is ALMOST perfect...Why the heck do they put the hanging loop off-centered? Maybe I'm OCD but that drives me nuts! Otherwise they are the best I've found for carrying in the pack. In camp, I hang a MSR Dromedary. If you are hunting in the heat or extreme cold I would definitely...

What cheek riser is everyone running?

I actually have one of those on a Tikka (borderline too long), and it's definitely too long on the Winchester...Can't cycle the bolt all the way back, but may work just enough to grab the next round in the mag. I'll have to try it. It is hard for me to understand why the inexpensive pouches...

What cheek riser is everyone running?

Thanks, TP. I'm trying to avoid any drilling if possible, but I will if I have to. It looks like that Bradley cheek rest might be a good option without drilling, but its $120 yikes.
