An unexpectedly quick update: I have already received a reply from Gohunt regarding my complaint. This is nearly the extent of the good news. An update to the app did nothing to change the situation. He indicated that maps can expire over extended periods of time, though my October 2, 2023...
Reviving this discussion...... I just opened up my Gohunt app for some e-scouting for a NM muzzy hunt later this month. After a few minutes I realized that once again the app has deleted all of my downloaded maps. They were all present for my September hunt. I've now reached my breaking...
Boots. I've got not-standard feet (narrow, low volume) and have had enough bad experiences that I'm constantly looking for new options even though I've now got a quiver full of boots that work well for me.
I personally took an AZ bull and saw two more killed with the 28 Nosler shooting this bullet last season. All three were very good outcomes.
If the intent is longer distances (think AZ late season bulls) then I think it's a very good choice. If you're taking sub-200 yard shots at various...
As was already stated, scout as close to your hunt date as possible since the bulls' locations will be different from September. Plan to hunt as many days as possible and don't give up, the elk are there.
Thanks! Yes that's exactly how I felt, drawing arguably the best antelope tag in the country. It was a random draw, according to GoHunt roughly 1 in 10,000 odds. At the time they showed 24 points for a NR to draw, now it doesn't have NR stats, but 19 points for residents.
I'm in a 2019 F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost, coming from a 2016 Taco and a 2011 Tundra before that. Over 37K now and could not be happier (though I still lust after Powerwagons).
I test drove all the options before buying the Ford. I tested a TRD Tundra and know they're still (for now) solid but...
Similar to the OP, yesterday was my last day in COVID isolation. The positive test result was my 50th birthday present. Still thankful that this was milder than any flu I can remember. I'm getting the hell out and shooting my bow this afternoon.
In August I shot my first velvet mule deer in...
I got PRK done 6 or 7 years ago. Trying to look through optics on a hunt during snowy weather was the last piece of motivation I needed. My only regret was not getting it 5 years earlier.
My local bow shop. Last weekend I experienced a lower cam failure. This weekend I have a new bow (from a different manufacturer).
I will not take the opportunity to bash the bow brand even though it was literally a three strikes situation with them.
