Aggie: those are the most impressive bowfishing photos I've ever seen!!
I would love to have a place to try that. Could that gar be in the Red River area?
I'll look for photos to post of my whitetail dinks and runts. I'm in the D&R Hall of Fame.
It seems that I remember a similar CF workout that was sets of 25 cleans followed by running 800 meters x 6
There may have been some burpees in there too. I lost some brain cells that day.
AGPank: nice comparison. Thanks
32oz binoculars are out for me. I have one nice bino in that wt class and it stays in the truck or on the back porch watching local deer..
There are just too many light wt options out there to justify carrying that weight all day even on a nice harness.
Nimrod Packs bino harness and removable top cover works for me. Most of the time I don't use the top cover unless the weather is nasty. Their harness can also be used with a detachable pistol holster (I've never owned one).
While I no longer use a Nimrod pack, I have a collection of their...
Dryad are good folks. In the past I made a longbow from one of their blanks (I don't think they are available any longer) and it is still a good shooter.
I have not shot the Orion but if it has the ACS recurve limbs I would guess it's a smoker. I've got a longbow with John Havard's original...
Wrench: keep us updated on the Monarch 7. I think they are under the radar because the Monarch 3-5-X were upgrade duds from the original Monarch ATB (which I think has been on more successful deer and elk hunts than any alpha glass model)
7's are light, wide field of view and 3 non-res elk...
Aron: I asked about the Conquest HD comparison because your video on the Conquest seemed very positive about them. I was just wanting to see what doubling the price for the HT's provided.
I've got leather lined Trekkers and Renegades. The Renegades are lows that I wear to work.
Most comfortable footwear I own.
When my Tibets (not LL) finally wear out I will replace them with all leather model.
I don't know if they are significantly "cooler" than the GT models but they mold to...
I've had the Pinnacle and it was well built and a good design but the waist belt did not agree with me like the Kifaru belt which I had been using for a few years. Because of my Kifaru experience, the Nimrod belt probably didn't have a chance. The belt was not uncomfortable it just wasn't right...
I should say I was not expecting this to be a "warranty" issue but just customer abuse. That's why I was prepared to fix them myself.
I've crawled thru the dirt with these binos, left them in the bottom of a dirty pack and dropped them in muddy plowed wheat fields.
I now have a great harness...
Thumbs up for Vortex.
I had an eyecup/eyepiece issue with my treestand binos, Viper 6x32, probably because I had let them get too dirty.
I thought I could solve the problem with a DIY fix and sent email to Vortex just to run my idea by them. (The binos are more than a couple of years old)...
Excuse me for breaking in late but "saving money" and "cedar arrows" do not go in the same sentence.
Although they sure smell good when I break "em!
I love making cedar arrows but it's not a love to save money.

Not a real common scope on the hunting sites but after some research it looked like a good fit for me for my first and probably last spotting scope.
Minimal backpack scouting/glassing- I live in a rural area on the plains. Bowhunting whitetails in farmland...
Nope
My goal is to put an arrow thru both lungs, preferably the lower half.
If the conditions are good (wind, cover, unaware animal) and an elk is facing me at 20 yards, chances are I will get that opportunity if I'm patient.
If not, well that's huntin'.
I would rather question myself later...
I've got two new pairs of Crescent Moon Gold Series snowshoes that I would gladly part with for cheap if you are interested. Darn global warming!
One is Mens Model 9-hiking (That is NOT the size).
Women's Model 13-trail (Again, that is NOT the size).
Pm me for other info or photos.
I'm glad...
