Good Resource for Field Judging Elk

If it's like the one in your avatar, you are good! Couldn't resist. Good 3rds with six points is how I look quickly. Many bulls have short 3rds. I know it is not all about the score but when you draw a trophy tag it turns into a trophy hunt. It is difficult to be selective.

    Lead poisoning

The documentary was made for the audience of hunters not antis. The the reason for our participation was to let hunters know that if they want to make a change they don't have to sacrifice performance with Hammers.

    Why PayPal for Hunting Companies?

PP froze our account and confiscated our money "because they didn't like the business we are in". Even though we were not in violation of their rules. Took us a year to get our money back plus lawyer fees. Every freedom loving American should close their PP account.

    Lead poisoning

Here is a documentary that we participated in about the effects of lead on birds of prey. We are most definitely not for legislation against lead bullets for hunting. We would much rather have people find us and use us because we make a better product than what they have used before. With that...

    Glassing I’m Montana

With binos I lean toward 8 our 10x. Clear glass is key more than power. Have a hard time holding higher power still enough by hand for long term glassing our while hiking and winded.

    School me on lead-free bullets

If you think of a bullet like a spinning top, it stays stable quite nicely until it is touched. A bullet holds its rotational vel almost workout degradation through its flight. As soon as it hits the animal it's rotational vel drops quickly allowing it to tip or yaw. Bullets are all hollow...

    School me on lead-free bullets

If 9.5" twist is accurate I would run the 131g Hammer Hunter. Out to 600y the higher velof the 131g Hammer Hunter will bee more beneficial than the added bc of the 143g Hammer Hunter. Also the higher stability is an aid to terminal performance.

    School me on lead-free bullets

FWIW I am a lung shooter. Or bullets do not have issues with soft tissue deformation at high or low vel. If you need to take shoulders our quartering shots they will work equally well. Out bullets control shed weight by the depth of the hollow point, not impact vel.

    School me on lead-free bullets

Hammer Bullets do not require higher impact vel to perform correctly. Using bullets that match the required twist rate is what is truly important. Our bullets are all advertised with a min recommended twist ratethat will produce a 1.5sg with standard atmosphere at sea level. I personally run...
