    Thanks for the input. I pulled the trigger on a pair of Hanwag yukons. I'm hopeful that they will be a little cooler wearing than my gtx lined boots based on yours and others accounts. Time will tell if it was a good choice!

    Okay... I'm sold! That lining looks about new. Based on that, it wouldn't surprise me if the boot breaks down on the outside or needs to be resoled long before the lining wears out. Thanks for the feedback!

    How long have you had them and have you noticed any breakdown of the lining? I would think that repetitive introduction of sweat/ moisture combined with flexing, and then drying out without ever applying some type of conditioner would decrease longevity. But maybe I'm totally wrong here with...

    These binos are brand new. I bought them thinking I'd replace my truck binos which had a leak, turns out they're still covered under warranty, so I'm off loading these. These are really nice optics for the money but probably overkill for what I was "replacing". $400 tyd. Paypal FF or G&S is fine.

    Havent walked around in them yet, but it should help to soften them up a bit. The paint definitely made them stiffer, but I expect thatll break down some with use. Either way its an improvement from jet black!

    I'm currently working on spray painting my OR Crocs for this same reason. Definitley dont want that black being a reason for a scared gobbler! Its almost bright black... Will update as i go. I guess its best to do very light coats (with ample dry time between), so thats how im approaching it.
