    I know this isn't one of your options but NC and SC have very laid back laws. I thought Virginia's regulations where tough until I started looking out west to hunt.

    I go to school in Jackson county and am going to be doing a good bit of hunting for both deer and bear this coming season. I haven’t seen much bear sign but I have seen a decent bit of deer.

    I have seen a very few deer tracks. I found some edges of about 2-3 year old cut over that might be promising. Thank you for all yall's imput. It is really helping me out since I have never been in this type of terrain. I have been looking in to bear hunting since the deer numbers seem to be low.

    When I looked around, just about all the trees as you mentioned were massive timber tracts. Needmore seems like a nice place to hunt especially considering all the other options. Thanks for your imput, hopefully I'll be able to post a few pictures of a successful hunt this season for up here.
