Cherokee Run is a good one to go with. Never hunted there myself but I do have friends that have. They have some big pigs as well. Its in chesterfield which is somewhat far from Charleston though.
I know this isn't one of your options but NC and SC have very laid back laws. I thought Virginia's regulations where tough until I started looking out west to hunt.

When I looked around, just about all the trees as you mentioned were massive timber tracts. Needmore seems like a nice place to hunt especially considering all the other options. Thanks for your imput, hopefully I'll be able to post a few pictures of a successful hunt this season for up here.
