Newbie mule deer hunter with new spotting scope

I will be stepping up to a Vortex Razor for next year. The spotter I have had for years just doesn't cut it anymore for long distance and determining if the hike is worth it.

Check the hunt stat pages on the NDOW site, Austin area (north 151-156 and south 171-173) shows less than 50% success in filling a tag for 2018.

tip for elk hunting in the snow

Definitely great advise, as soon as your hands or feet get cold it's a struggle from there.

Need experienced hunting partner to archery elk hunt Idaho in 2020

Good luck on your search, been hunting with my pops for a long time but after our last unsuccessful hunt and the issues he had during the trip I'm in the same boat.

Muley hunt wish list

If you plan on doing it every 3-5 years you may want to just start buying points in the states that offer like NV. Also you didn't mention archery or rifle, some times the odds are better for archery.

Hey everyone, new guy here from Reno NV. Been hunting since I was a kid, looking to start hunting out of state in the next year as well as looking to take up archery as my daughter that is almost 8 is very interested in archery.
