    340 Weatherby and H1000

Haha yes a little over kill, but might as well let the rifle get a bit of seat time instead of collect dust in the safe! And alright I’ll start out with H4350 since I already have that, and keep my eye out for 7828. Thanks everyone

    340 Weatherby and H1000

H4831 I am assuming you are talking about? What about H4350? Hard to find certain powder around here yet. I’d love to get to 2900fps. And yes thanks! I have always wanted one, guess the allure of a big magnum. Got couple trips for elk lined up in the next couple years but other than that maybe I...

    340 Weatherby and H1000

Bought a 340 Weatherby to play with and would like to load 250gr accubonds in it and use H1000. Anyone have any load data for that powder? I can't seem to find much info anywhere. Thanks

    Tikka/peak 44

Pretty sure I torqued mine to 50 inch pounds, didn't matter where I had it set and torqued I could still get some side to side movement. If inletting was as tight as you say doubt I would see that side to side movement! Rather get it done right the first time than mess with it and end up with it...

    Tikka/peak 44

We got ours a couple months ago, his arrived a few weeks after mine. I didn't talk to stocky's other than requesting the recoil lug that didn't show with the stock(it showed 2 weeks ago). Mine fit fairly decent in the stock, but you could see the barrel off center in the channel. Some slight...

    Tikka/peak 44

I bought a stocky's for a tikka build that has enough play its sitting at a gunsmith right now getting glass bedded to prevent the barrel/action shifting. Buddy bought one for a Remington 700 same time for a build and his was poor enough that he had to send it back for a replacement, believe he...

    Tikka 300wsm suppressor

Sure sounds like that would be the way to go, don’t mind waiting a little while longer. Really appreciate all the replies!

    Tikka 300wsm suppressor

Never realized you could have a shoulder added to a barrel! That’s something I’ll have to look into for sure. As far as suppressors, which thunderbeast would be my best bet? I appreciate it.

    Tikka 300wsm suppressor

Got a stainless tikka t3x in 300wsm I have thought about putting a suppressor on. If I had the barrel shortened to 20” would there be enough meat to thread it to 5/8x24? Also what would you consider to be the best suppressor to choose? Got a thunderbeast dealer not too far away. Main gun I...

IOWA - Water pollution & Livestock

Correct, organic farms have to rely on whatever types of manure they can get their hands on to feed their crops. Wont grow crops for very long if you don't replace what you take out of the soil. Isn't as clear cut as can appear with organic vs conventional farming, good and bad in both...

IOWA - Water pollution & Livestock

Haven't read through all the replies but if farming in any other state is like PA we need nutrient management plans for spreading manure. And as expensive as fertilizer is you won't see many/if any use any more than they have to. Bigger contributor is all the yards that get fertilizer pumped...

Thousands of acres of crop land getting turned into solar farms across the Midwest

Those solar companies offer stupid money for the leases as well, I have been offered over 1200 an acre per year by a couple different companies. Not about to even consider doing it, hard to feed the world when the farmable land is under panels!

    Rich Man's Sport

Be our guest! Haven't ever heard any of my buddies or I complaining about out of staters. Public land is public land, available to anyone with a license. Don't feel entitled to it belonging to residents only.

    "Old Rifles"

Use my grandfathers rifle every now and then to remember him, its a Husqvarna in 270. Light as a feather and it sure does shoot.

    CVA MRX .50 Cal Alignment

My MRX is same way, still shoots great out to 200 yards, all the further I have taken it. Shame it isn't centered perfectly but I haven't experienced any problems from it thus far.

CARES act forgivable loans for businesses

I am sorry but farmers got impacted big time as well. How do you think the vegetable farmers that sold to restaurants fared while everything was shut down? Or like myself the livestock farmers when COVID hit the meat packing plants and they were all shutting down which in turn drove down prices...

    Colorado elk tags

A buddy and I are planning on drawing 1st season rifle tags this year and I was wondering if I would be able to buy a archery tag for out there as well or are you only allowed to hold 1 tag a year? Ideally it would be for the same unit if I am able to so it could be a good scouting mission for...
