    Fake velvet?

    Interested in the same topic. I've seen some nice ones at DSC but it seems like everything Google returns immediately looks synthetic. Its like there is no wear/oils/veins/etc on most of the synthetic mounts which throws me off.

    If you break down the meat into major groups, especially on a smaller animal like a lope, you can fit it in some 2 gall freezer bags then put in ice.     How far away do you camp?

    I try to camp high and glass within 100yds from camp down the mtn at first light. It gets tricky at times finding water up high so you may need to compromise on convenience and hike down to fill up on water.
