    Reduced Loads for .300 Win Mag?

    Does anyone have a favorite reduced load for .300 Win Mag? 150 Gr. bullet at about 2800 fps is what I'm looking for. I have a number of 150gr. bullets from my .300 Savage Nosler BT, Hornady SST, TTSX that could work.

    Is this brake quiet enough to hunt with? My wife and daughter shoot a Christensen .300 win. mag but need to use the brake in the field. This brake is advertised as being quiet, is it quiet enough to hunt with? The CA brake cannot be used without plugs.

    I'd like to hunt spring bear in 22' especially with the reduced pressure in Canada for the last 2 seasons. It seems most of the hunts really rev up at the end of May and into June. I'm looking for a good hunt the first week of May, is that possible? Extra points for fishing.

    I usually prefer to drive for western hunts but drew a Chugach Mountain goat tag. Is it particularly risky to check my loaded pack? I would like to check my pack and rifle, then carry on a small bag for when in town?
