Having an InReach helps a bunch and like was stated above cutting yourself is a bad deal at any time but especially solo, carry some quick clot gauze and a TQ, take a stop the bleed class, been there...

    I was expecting to get a bit longer out of it, it’s still good but you can feel the difference between the front and back of it. What country was yours made in? Not sure if it makes a difference but mines from Thailand.

    If you want lightweight you could always use a flip flop, cut and epoxy it to the the stock and form it into the shape you want. Not pretty but it’s functional.

    Tak a 1/2 pound of burger, fry it up with some onions and dump in a small can of El Pato, cook it down a bit and crack 4-5 eggs in it, makes killer breakfast tacos and burritos.
