Why do we buy soft shells?
+1 for pro-soft shells. Great for the average conditions in SW NM. I almost always reach for my Mountain jacket (version before the Evo) or my Jetstream depending on the season. It’s just not cold enough for a puffy most of the time, especially if you can stop the wind. Theres not very many days... -

Second vote for stove and the warmest gear you have. We hunted the January hunt last year and it was in the teens with 15-20 mph winds a couple nights. Real cold despite being in the desert. Looking for some guidance on purchasing a Davis Go Tent. I already own the 14x15' tent with their largest stove. We run the loose 3/4 floor in it with the internal frame. The “starting from” price listed on Ford pickups is a total joke. Go play around with the truck builder on Ford’s website. Does your F-150 have the 36 gallon tank? That is a must have if you’re going to tow. Should be a standard option with most of the tow packages.- Keener22

I do a similar load many weekends with my F-150. It’s a 2021 equipped with the 3.5 ecoboost and the trailer tow package. What Sleeping Bag?
Got the WM Terralite 25 degree bag this year and wasn't disappointed. Consider how you like to sleep when looking at bag design and sizes. You will likely find that one 0 degree bag is too hot and uncomfortable for most of the early season hunts.- Keener22
