I try to prep myself for any pack out that I know will be tough.
Usually I eat a high carb protein bar, take 2 Aleve and drink a 5 hour energy right as the pack out starts...then go like hell.
Anyone else have something they do?

Hunted pig with a knife last year and just got the skull back. Kind of want to mount the knife with the skull. Anyone seen any good mounting solutions or ideas?

All year working to get ready for elk season...and it's over before you know it. At least I get a freezer full.

Bull elk
Cow elk
Still have a deer tag and a buck antelope tag to go after.

Nothing big this year. But...the volume was there. A bear, 3 doe antelope, 2 elk, a mule deer and a pig with a knife. At least the freezer will be full. Great 2016!

I have a medium belt in coyote from my hunter frame. Looking to see if anyone is interested in trading me their small belt.

Not every kill is a living room wall hanger...so sometimes I need to be creative.

Recently stuck a wild pig with a knife. Looking for a cool way to display the knife with the skull. Googled it a bit and didn't find anything that tickled my fancy. Any thoughts? Knife is shown below.
It's a little graphic for those who have not seen this type of thing before.

Shot this small bull this year. I convinced the kids that they wanted this in their room instead of the nice muley I shot this year.
I didn't want to pay a taxidermist $150 for this little guy, so I had a friend boil it, then a $5 can of glossy orange krylon. I think it will turn out cool...
Didn't kill anything huge...but I didn't eat any tags either. Can't complain for my first time hunting my new home state.
1 bull. 1 cow. 1 buck. 1 sweet selfie with a bull elk ham and shoulder on my back.
