    After looking through my Lyman's manual I have decided on this load for my ruger redhawk 5.5 inch Starline brass Federal 155 Large Magnum Pistool primers 19 grains H110 300 grain Cast Performance WFNGC in .430 diameter Looks good? Any feed back appreciated.

    Can someone please explain the difference in terms of performance between a jacketed soft point and a cast lead bullet from say Cast Performance if both bullets are 300 grains in a 44 mag. Trying to decide what to load for bear. Thanks so much.
