Yeah, I don't have any worries about it structurally. The material for the bag with all of the straps distribute the load well. And they metal 3 bar sliders are tough. Having a couple extra straps to tie the meat to the frame before putting the bag back over the meat can be helpful with...
Berger 140 elite hunter I'm sure would do the job. Otherwise an accubond. Antelope are not as hearty as elk, but I would think the accubond would be the bullet with the most amount of margin. Shot placement obviously trumps bullet construction, but I like to give myself as much margin as...
I'd stick with accubond or accubond lr. The new monos are good an people have a lot of success with them but some people have had expansion issues and it just doesn't have the density that lead has. To me accubonds give the hunter the most amount of margin for error. Shot placement is king...
Kifaru 44 mag is what I use for all of my hunts. The new exo k4 packs are also intriguing. Only downside to the 44 mag in my opinion is the meat shelf is a bit of a hassle.
Looking to try this out this summer. Trying to practice with a 6mm and shoot .30 cal in the fall. There will need to be adjustments obviously but I'm curious how consistant it will be going back and forth.
I used the mcarbo spring and thought it was an ok improvement. I opted for the Timney trigger. Wasn't excited about losing the bolt feature but the better trigger was worth it in my opinion. It did involve so messing around with the hunter stock to make it fit perfectly though.
Just ordered a terminus zeus sa. Like the idea of practicing all year in a smaller caliber and larger in the fall. Curious to know how often most people actually change calibers or barrels in this set up.
