Last day of CO Muzzleloader season. Went into the hunt saying I'd be pleased with a young, tasty one... Tough getting a sub 100 yd set up on legal property in South Park.
Just started building my own. My go to for Flemish Twist has been stilldub over on the e auction site. Last purchase was Fast flight for $12 shipped. Gets them out quickly and always exactly what I ordered.
1st hand experience - Bows (and Arrows) are a No-Go carry on with TSA nowadays. I was told at the SW ticket counter that I could carry a classic Herters Utopian Recurve takedown in a hard case through TSA. I got a police escort back to the ticket counter to retrieve my bag and put in there to...
Funny, I just ordered a REAL 300gr mold yesterday. I like the looks of that bullet and think it will add another dimension to shooting this rifle. How do you find they shoot for you?
Getting ready to play with loads. Shame, I haven't shot this thing for years. Got sidetracked with Traditional bows sometime back. Freezer could use a refill.
I'm assuming your Satori is currently 17" riser with short limbs. Your TT limbs are 40#s on 17" riser. What are you planning on hunting and what weight you moving to? Most, but not all limbs will be #s based on a 25" riser. After many years shooting 36# Border Hex 6 longs on Bernardini and...
and finding out selection of bullets are limited along with powder and primers. Drew a Unit 49 Pronghorn tag. Gun is 1in 32 twist and set up with the Lyman peep and globe. What you say?
I'd suggest getting a tab to use with a new string. Get a stringer while your at it.
I'd string it up with the old string, check the string, make sure the limbs are straight, shoot some arrows, check the brace, hang it strung and shoot some more for a couple of days and recheck everything...
Get a 3 under tab 1st. I shoot a Yost medium, it is 2 3/8" wide and my fingers are about 2 1/4". They are very nice once the cordovan is broken in and not real thick. Made for competition shooting. You would need to trim it too. Also, check out Rick Barbee's tab. I like what he's done with it...
Many years ago I took one with a compound using a decoy. I got mixed result using decoys. Most times a buck with does will move them away but theres always that chance he'll want to chase you off. The one I shot moved the haram away twice. I was able to get around and in front of their movement...
