2 person lightweight tent (on the cheap)

The REI tents are in your budget and nice quality/weight/value ratio. I run a marmot limelight 3p and also a marmot Tungsten UL. Very lightweight but roomy tents. 2p for 1 person with plenty of gear and stretching room or linelight 3p for two people, gear and dog. I think you could be very happy...

    Bear Resistant Bags

The Ursack Major or Udap is going to be the way to go. The Ursack is all about how well you knot it up in the tree. New Food Ideas Needed !!

I come from a backpacking background and in my opinion you cant beat the ramen bomb. Make in your jetboil or in a quart freezer bag. 1 bag of ramen and 1 oz of isntant mashed potatoes. A quick 500 calories and a 20 minute nap - youll be feeling great for the rest of the day. Or eat it before bed...

Where do you carry your pistol?

I have great luck with Safariland holsters. they make models that are offset enough that a backpack belt can fit between your hip and the holster. Also really functional are the drop leg holsters and their adjustable height holsters. perfect for keeping your chest open for a bino harness and...
