Made a handload for a CVA .308 Win 18" barrel bolt gun I wanted to share.
-CFE223 49.7-50 gr
-Federal brass
-OLD 210 primers
-Nosler 150 Ballistic Tip
2850 Average FPS with a low of 2816 and a high of 2876
I hope this helps someone get an idea of velocity. No bolt stick, but definitely as far as I would push this bullet out of this barrel. Powder is very fine and annoying to throw. Nothing special about the case like fire forming or setting it a certain distance off the lands. Just set it to factory at 2.800"
