Any experience with the 180 interbonds for Elk? I have a load worked up for my 30-06 averaging 2720 fps with 56 gr of 4350. Accuracy is good but the standard deviation could use some tweaking 36.7 fps. Preparing for Idaho next October.

For Arkansas deer Im running a 165 sgk at 2820 with a SD of 22. Accuracy has been ~ 1/2 inch

They should work fine for you. I have to admit to being a real Nosler fan though and I use the Partition, Accubond, and E-tip exclusively in my rifles. Besides quite a few game animals I have tested these bullets by shooting them into water jugs from 25 yards to 100 - 200 - 300 - 400 - and 500 yards and was very impressed with the results. That being said your Hornady bullet should work just fine as would the Sierra Game King.

In my own personal 30-06 I have not used anything but 165 gr. Accubonds and Partitions in it. IMR4350 is my powder in that rifle but H4350 would be just as good. Not sure what primers you are using but a switch in those might help with the velocity spread. I like using Federal 210 Match primers.

I have seen a lot of elk killed by being hit by 165 grain bullets.

I love running 180s in an 06 anywhere around 2650 to 2750. Currently I'm running Eldxs. Ran one through a whitetail doe that was quartered hard towards me. Basically ran sternum to back ham and recovered a nicely shaped 98 grain mushroom.

As far as bullet choice I think you are good with anything that is all copper. I love partitions but dont like paying for them

I've killed several elk with 180 IB's in a .300 WBY as well as African plains game, deer, etc.

No problems. Lots of dead critters...

Have you checked out Shooters Pro Shop? Super good deals on Nosler over runs and blems. Less than half price usually.
