I have both of those scopes. 3-15 on my 270. 2-10 on my 30-06.

I can’t tell a difference in the glass quality.

If you want a parallax adjustment, go with the 3-15.

No wrong choice here.

Have you considered the VX—6HD 2-12?

Or perhaps a SHV 3-10?

I have the 3-15 windplex on my Tikka 30-06, and I'm a fan. I'm working on another rifle build at the moment and was considering the 2-10 with firedot. But I found a deal on another 3-15, this one with the firedot, so I let that make up my mind.

I think either would be a good choice, but for a 270 I'd probably favor the 3-15. You probably don't really need that much magnification in the field, but it does come in handy when doing load development.

I have the fire dot 3-15 on my 270 and it's been great, definitely nice to have the extra magnification when needed for checking out a rack or shooting paper. Mostly leave it on the lower end for hunting though.

I would choose whichever you can afford or want to pay that gets you the best quality optic. Between those two scopes at your ranges you mentioned doesnt make much difference to me.
