I have a 2 1/2 " thick styrofoam cooler used for manufacturing/shipping. I have also built cedar strip canoes using fiberglass mesh and 2 part epoxy. It would be fairly simple to glass the inside and outside of the cooler, even the lid for durability, as long as the epoxy doesn't melt the styrofoam. anyone have any experience with the products compatibility?

No experience, but that is a great idea. Maybe try it out on some scrap pieces and see what happens. Make sure you post pictures if it works!

I made all my big coolers for commercial fishing from 3" foam board insulation and Fiberglass mat and painted with Gloveit.

I've not seen Epoxy melt Styrofoam. Polyester resin will for sure, but I wouldn't expect epoxy to.

Most stay away from epoxy do to its costs vs polyester. Also UV eats up epoxy.

But polyerster and styrofoam don't mix

Try liquid nails or lock tote cluaking. It's waterproof and won't melt strofoam
