I use a BD whippet and a normal trekking pole on my mountain hunts. Yes you'll probably get some holes/tears in that rain gear but id be willing to bet it holds up for one hunt fine. I have a pair of those pants I've used on 2 walk in sheep hunts they'll probably go one more before I retire them. Your list looks fine and I won't nitpick you, after your first trip youll refine your kit further.

I live a little ways north east of Williams lake and I will reiterate what people are saying about your rain gear, ultra light is not the way to go anywhere in the interior of B.C. I use a first lite SEAK jacket and I pair it with a heavyweight Dakota set of bib bottoms made of Cordura with a water proof membrane. I know lots of people swear by lightweight when backpack hunting but when you have days like the one I’ll post a picture of there’s no substitute for being warm and dry. And FYI it was end of August that the pics were taken.
