2019 trip with Kodiak Combos

Great write up. My first Kodiak trip we booked the standard 5 day hunt. Due to weather going in and out of Kodiak city we ended up with 3 full days and 3 hours of the 4th day hunting. Miserable. We killed our deer, but everything seemed rushed.
each subsequent trip we just started booking 10 day trips. Way more relaxing.

The real secret is that Sitka Blacktail from Kodiak Island is the best tasting venison on the planet, no kidding. Early September they have an absurd amount of fat built up...looking forward to frying my tenderloins in some of it before long!
