2024 Improved Burris Veracity PH

Were you ever able to correct the issue? I one time had to pull batteries to reset scope and it fixed whatever was the anomaly.
I think so. Sadly though I’m not sure what it was. Whether it was the multitude of power cycling, rotating the dial, taking batteries out, or resetting the digital zero, I have no idea. But it went back to the 100yd baseline eventually.

I confirmed after work. Weirdly though, on the very first try as soon as I turned it on, it again showed a non 100 number. This time “114.” I simply rotated the dial a few times to confirm it wouldn’t zero completely, then turned it off and on once. Fixed it. Tried multiple times throughout the evening and dead on to 100 every time. Not sure what it was.

In hindsight I probably should’ve been more patient on the first try before re-setting the digital zero. In theory it should still be dead on because I never adjusted the mechanical zero. I’m still gonna go to the range on Friday to confirm, though.

I am gonna try every day from now to my hunt. On-off. On-off. On-off. Replace batteries. See if it boots to 100yds every time.

Might be something with the mechanical zero stop. Be careful hitting that stop. If you are hard on it, it can warp and you'll start having it stop below zero. Ask me how I know.

Scope held true! Just over a minute group at 100 to confirm, then this at 200 yards. Just a bipod. Really impressed with the scope.

Can anyone tell me if the burris app has a balistic truing function? Where i can shoot the rifle at 600, then if im 3 inches low, input thst into the app?

I spoke with burris this morning. The truing feature was removed due to some kind of issue. They are working on getting it back up after the issue is resolved.

Ok. I personally didn’t care for it when they had it. Instead of being able to enter the actual MOA result, it prompted me to enter how many inches my impacts are off. I just tweaked the velocity and it’s doing pretty good.

I've taken mine out to a friends range a couple times in the past week to verify dope out to as far as the wind allowed before I head out to MT next week. Not having the velocity truing function in the Burris app is slightly annoying but not the end of the world. Having it take 4 tries to "connect" to my scope and upload the ballistics table is for sure a pain though.

Either way though, I set up 3 different apps that I use, plus my Sig rangefinder with the same data just to compare. I shot to 648yd and used that actual drop to true my velocity in the GeoBallistics app, then used that trued velocity in the Burris app and pushed the new drop table to my scope. You can see in the picture how they all matched up once I got that set. Once it was trued, I could dial a range and get first round hits on steel to way out beyond hunting distances, so that was a good confidence builder.

Once you’ve got it set up, it’s pretty dang sweet. Glad you got it going.
