I just bought a 300 Win Mag and wanted to ask about bullets. If you have experience with the 300 win mag would you please share with me if you could only have 1 one bullet for your 300 no matter what you hunt or what kind of long distance shooting you do what make and grain bullet would you choose? Thanks

Berger 210 VLD. Can get them moving at around 3k FPS with Retumbo and they just shoot incredibly consistently out of my rifle. Good experiences on game as well of course.

I like the 212 eldx for deer and elk. I’ve even shot an antelope with one and it didn’t do too much damage but it was a neck shot. They’re affordable too

In my two 300s I've had( a win mag and now a PRC, same results) I e had no reason to shoot anything other than the 215 berger for ME. That's included shots from 300 ish yards to 805. A cow at 500 and antelope at 340 last year. I keep em in the ribs to just destroy vitals without much of any bloodshot. My daughter used it on a nice mulie at 200 and hit it in the mid shoulder and it made a mess of the far shoulder for sure tho, but that's to be expected.

I have a "few" .300 Win Mags and while I shoot bullets from 150 to 215 in them the most consistent in all of them has been one of the 180s. Hornady, Nosler, Speer, Berger (175) all have great bullets that have taken a lot of game for me from coyotes to deer to bear and elk.

Between Barnes, Nosler and Speer, the Barnes bullets are the most accurate in my 300 WM. The 175 gr Barnes LRX is what I use the most.

I shoot the factory loaded Barnes 165 grain TTSX at 3160 fps out of my Browning HCS. Very accurate and deadly on Whitetails.

212 ELD-X shoots 2890 out of 24” barrel. Has had great terminal performance. Killed cow elk at 752 and mule deer at 450 and 440 all 1 shot kills and they died where they stood.
