I bought my 6.5 Prc specifically because I wanted to shoot 147 eldm.

Add another half-dozen on my end. Bull elk at 490, three whitetail beyond 300, and two aoudad out to 420, and the elk was the only one who didn't drop at the shot. He jumped maybe 10 feet and was down in seconds. The 147 ELD-M at PRC velocities is the most impressive terminal bullet I've used.

I know it’s a month old but if you see this what barrel length and speeds are you getting on the 147? Factory or hand loads

Each of these kills was a few years ago, but it was through a 22-inch barrel and the velocity was somewhere in the 2,900 fps range.

Sorry, yes it was the factory Hornady Match 147-grain ammo. Fantastic load.

156 Berger for me. Once I get a can and drop to a 20” barrel I might shoot the 140 elite hunters if I don’t like the speeds of the 156s. Pic below is the entrance on my elk last year at 770 yards and what was left of the bullet was found about an inch under the hide of the opposite shoulder. Needless to say he dropped on the spot.

140 Speer hot, shoot great out of mine. 4 deer 2 Elk 403 longest shot. They are flat base but I don't shoot much over 600.

Lapua 139 Scenar is as deadly as anything else I’ve used. 156 Berger is another great one. Both perform about the same. The Scenars just happen to shoot better in my rifle.

That Lapua 139 Scenar is deadly out of all .264 rounds! Kills like lightning in my experience and accurate!

You should be able to get close to 2,850 with N565 and the 156 in a 20”

Man I tried 565 and pressured out before I could really get any speed out of it. But then again it’s a real tight chamber and has been finicky as hell since the beginning, part of the reason I’m ready to just rebarrel. 2850 would be absolutely fine with me out of a 20” though, which barrel are you rocking?

140 AB with H1000 for me. Bought it as my "western gun". Have only been out west once since purchasing, and it did its job on the antelope, but this year I'm gonna see how it performs as an "eastern gun"
