6.5 StaBall and 300 WSM

I was wondering if anyone has tried this with the 300 short mag. I see some loads on Hogdon’s website but wondering if anyone has tried it. Just looking for another option for powders. Currently running Varget, H4350, HV100 and 4831SC. If anyone has tried it in the short mag or other cartridges is it as temperature stable as they claim.

I tried 6.5 Staball in mine with 175gr LRX but wasn't getting the accuracy I was getting with RL19 and H4350 so I stopped playing with it. Maybe if I would have played linger with it.

Thanks. I might buy a pound and play with it with some 165 gr. Hammers

Just loaded up a bunch of for a buddy with hammer bullets over 6.5 staball. Will report on how they shoot once he is able to test it out

I tried 6.5 Staball with the 166 Tikka hammers and never got the accuracy I expect from hammers.
Rifle shoots Norma Bondstrike well under an inch and Federal 200 eldx under 1” as well.
My Berger 200.20x load shoots phenomenal so after 100 hammers and a few conversations with Steve about both superformance and 6.5 Staball I elected to set it aside in the powder sale pile.

6.5 Staball topped out about 3250
Superformance about 3350 plus

Thanks for all the responses. With the cost of everything now and how hard it is to get stuff it sure takes some of the fun out of experimenting
