Didn’t you have an arc at some point?I could not go strictly 6mm for that reason alone unless it was 6 creed and even then I’d be limited to factory division which wouldn’t work currently because tikka doesn’t have a 6creed at the moment. So for me it would be consolidating down to those 2 which would still be better than what I’m currently doing for simplicity’s sake anyways. Reloading has become a necessary evil for the amount of shooting I do and want to keep doing… unfortunately.
The dasher is pretty awesome as a low recoil do all. I can’t complain about how any of mine shoot.
The little 6mms are definitely the sweet spot of small enough to be cheap and pleasant and enjoy, but kill with just a little more authority than a .223, a bit further out, and with much better hit probability. Ludicrous selection of good bullets available.
I like the GT but dasher would equally be fine.
The only downsides seem to be
- To maintain best performance, regular and effective bore cleaning seems more likely to be necessary than something like a .223, 6.5CM or .308
- Cost per round isn't actually that much less than a 6.5CM in my part of the world and I can't shoot NRL hunter with my 6mm hunting rifle but I could with 6.5CM

Yes, I've seen it, but have a lot of experience and observations of others with different experiences, hence saying that it "seems more likely to be necessary"
Yes I did, wanted to get back to a standard bolt face for whatever reason.
The Dasher was named by combining the names of its developers, Dan Dowling and Al Ashton (Dan+Ashton>Dasher), Dowling built the Dasher that won the 1000 yard NBRSA world record light gun aggregate in 2004.
The rifle shown was smithed by Dowling. It has an 8 twist 22 inch heavy varmint contour Hart barrel with the muzzle threaded 5/8x24 . It is chambered 0.272 inch ( no neck turning) and throated for 105 + grain bullets. It has a left handed Remington 700 footprint Pierce action. The bolt is spiral fluted and has a cone bolt head. The trigger is a Jewell set shy of 2 lb.
Although not related to this thread but of possible interest, the rifle sits in an XLR Envy chassis and is mounted with a Bushnell ERS Elite Tactical 3.5x21 FFP scope with a Tremor3 reticle with Seekin Precision rings and a 20 moa rail. The bipod is an Atlas.

Changed the stock on Ladasha and did some load dev today.

Shot 6 5 shot groups which were shots 51-80 on this barrel. 3 were less than 1/2” at 100 yds which is ridiculous. Others likely would have been but wind had my political sign target dancing and I was mainly wanting to measure speed today so I just sent a few.
31.2gr - 2622.2
31.6gr - 2660.8
32.0gr - 2700.5
32.4gr - 2741.0
32.8gr - 2784.9
33.2gr - 2816.2
No pressure signs at all at any time. Easy to see that basically each tenth of grain is getting me 10 fps. Will probably load 40 up at 33.2gr for practice, see where speed is after barrel has 120 down the tube, and either leave it or chase 2850ish. Goal was 2800, thinking it will either get to 2850 on its own or with the encouragement of a tenth or two more of Varget. Absolutely loving this rifle.

Wow, im suprised it was happy with that much varget. Guess i might try Jamming more in my 26" 
I wouldn't want a guy with a poop.colored scope shooting at me. He doesn't care about ridicule, which means he probably is a good shot

Every time I see this rifle I like it more and more as I am a poop/chocolate color fan as well.
I always correct people that it’s called “patriot brown”
