Just seeing if anyone has a project they have moved on from. I’m looking for a heavy/bull sporter contour.

I’m going to buy a Wilson #4 if I can't find something just a little heavier. If they offered the #5.5 it would be headed my way already.

I suppose that would be good information to include .
8.5 or 9 twist to finish at 25”.

On Bartleins in stock steel inventory sheet there is a 8.75 twist #9 "heavy varmint".

I had not heard of gain twist before, interesting.
Presumably double my intended budget though. The Wilson blanks are $200.

My asking price on the Bartlein would be $850.


I have had 2 Wilson's. Both of them shot well above their price point. I wouldn't hesitate to do a third.


Where are you getting them for$200? I may need one myself..lol
