My son shot his bull at 517 yards in northern Alberta 4 days ago. We just got back to Oregon, driving. 305 lbs of awesome meat and a Euro mount. Trip of a lifetime! Outfitter was excellent!

Frank Martens, Top Notch Outfitters in La Crete, Alberta. He took us personally, and only does 2 moose hunts per year, each 1x1. 100% success this week. Accommodations, food and experience were all excellent. He works all year at maintaining game cameras and flying the area to track where bulls are at. Worked his tail off for us and we had an exceptional experience. Hunt was $8k, plus license and tax.

Got back from our hunt with Misty River. My daughter was the hunter and shot a nice 40 inch bull. We saw quite a few cows but this was only bull. Nick and Cody worked hard to get us on some moose and Nick called this one from 365 yards to around 120. Daughter made 2 great shots and he was down. We had no troubles at customs either way except with antlers. I covered in cardboard and taped up. They made me cut everything off as they said they had to physically touch all of antler. We brought back 5 48qt coolers of meat. We did have to drive to edmonton to 2 different walmarts to find coolers. The 48 qt would let you do up to about 70lbs of meat and we put in 5 lbs of dry ice that we bought at a place in Edmonton called Canadian Dry Ice. We wern't asked about the dry ice but one lady at check in said sometimes they make you open coolers so carry a couple rolls of duck tape where it's easy to get to. If going I would take some coolers and put clothes in and a couple empty duffel bags to bring cloths back. Also take a good luggage scale as we bought a cheap scale and went over weight by a couple pounds and had to pay over weight.
