I’ve had this ammo in my cabinet for too long now. I’m assuming it is probably 30.06 for a Garand. I hope someone can shed some light on it. I just got an .06 and was wondering whether to shoot it up or save it. Any idea’s??

30-06 in a garand clip...maybe. Springfield's probably had clips too, could be that too. I'd just keep it. Or give it to someone that collects mil-surp stuff

You got your answer.

I've got a safari grade Winchester M70 purchased at the commissary on a US army base buy a family friend in germany, 1965. I have the original bill of sale. I have the original box of Peters ammunition that's listed on the bill of sale. It's been shot three times, and I have the original factory verification group, with three bullet holes in the paper.

Think I ought to go out and see how it shoots?
Yeah.
