Archery software/VAP arrows - shaft length?

Looking at getting some VAP arrows and I've been doing some spine research via Archers advantage. Given the insert provides almost an inch of arrow length, should I remove that when using the software. E.g, I need a 29inch arrow, should I input 28inch for arrow length as that is what the shaft will be? My guess is yes but thought I'd check if anyone has experience with this.

Probably should have checked the help section first....

"Arrow Length is measured in inches from one end of the raw cut shaft to the other end of the raw cut shaft. Do not include any portion of the Point, Point Insert, Nock or Nock Insert in this measurement."

use your carbon to carbon measurement. Doesn't matter what shaft from what company.
