How much longer do the ethic collar/insert system make your arrows? About an 1/2 inch roughly? I run a 28 inch arrow and was wondering if I should cut them down to 27.5 so they won't stick out the front so far with ethics insert collars installed. With a 28 inch arrow it is even with the front of the shelf (not including the head)

I just measured mine and it looks like it adds about 3/4". I still run my arrows cut at 28". I doubt the extra length will ever be an issue getting caught on anything.

It also depends on what broadhead you end up running. If you have a larger single bevel, you may end up liking the extra clearance it gives you.
