Best Walkie talkie for long range.

Wondering if anyone had any input on the best walkie talkies for long range that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
Planning an elk hunt in remote country that doesn’t have cell service and we’re needing to be able to communicate. I know I know buy an in reach but we’re not wanting to spend quite that much right now.

Do a search on here. This topic has been discussed a bunch before.

But… depends on terrain. Flat vs mtns and where you are at in relation to terrain when communicating.

I gotcha about spending money on GPS communicators but you can always buy - use - sell and you will lose minimal amounts.

I bought rockie talkie last year and worked great. But also had Zoleo GPS to communicate.

Each has its place. I personally would not depend on walkie talkie comms very far because too finicky.
