I prefer 10x...but 8x will work just fine. Those Dall's are usually pretty easy to spot. 42mm is a good idea.

So typically you need a spotter to determine whether the Ram is actually legal or not. Assuming you are a non res......your guide will have a spotter as they can get in deep Doo Doo if you shoot a ram that doesn't meet legal requirements.

Thanks that's what i suspected.

I've used 8x30's on 4 guided sheep hunts. Never felt I needed anything more and as it's been said your guide will have a spotter.

I used 8x42 meoptas on my dall hunt and felt they were sufficient.dalls are usually easily seen.the binos are to spot them then the spotter comes out for the important decision of is he legal or not. ggod luck on your hunt and enjoy every minute of it.

I’ll echo everything above. 8x42’s will work, 10x42’s even better IMO.
