I saw the marsupial gear bow hook ($12 + SH) and instantly wanted it.

After a little thought I decided there was a simple way to Macgyver this addition to my system.
I had an extra oval shaped 1.5"novelty carabiner laying around. I clipped it to the chest strap of my Kuiu bino harness - opened the gate - taped the gate open. The permanently open gate means the bow is easy to hook on and off through the D loop. The gate taped open also secured it to the strap.
I used it this year during archery season while bushwhacking through some nasty riparian zones and it never had an issue. I glass soooo much more now.
It took me longer to type this thread than put this together.
